Bathroom

Mr and Mrs Seville

Mr and Mrs Seville initially had a small bathroom and pokey ensuite.  Neither room fulfilled it’s potential so to remedy this we removed the partition wall and created one room with endless opportunities.

The Pybus Interiors team relocated the soil pipe which allowed us to create a useful storage run and disguise the mechanics of the toilet. The client opted for a large walk in shower and full sized freestanding bath.

Mrs Seville knew her new bathroom needed more decoration than tiles but was cautious of going too bold and the room being over powering.   After careful consideration she opted for feature wallpaper (Cole & Son- Savuti) in a tonal colour palette which complimented the tiles.  The flooring and furniture added an individual touch and brought the whole room together.

One discussion we had during the design consultation was ‘where can I put my shampoo and shower gel bottles?’  We came to the solution that installing alcoves into the shower and bathroom wall would provide a perfect storage area and also provide a feature to the rom.  The alcoves were lined with quartz, as a contrast from the dark teal tiles and the light speckled quartz makes a functional, subtle feature to an otherwise large plain wall.

Everyone likes a warm bathroom but they don’t always consider the output a towel radiator gives.   We advised the client about the the benefits of coloured radiators versus chrome radiators as they produce twice as much heat and are not much more expensive.   Due to the size of the room, we wanted to ensure that there were no cold spots, and that warm towels were close to hand, therefore colour toned towel rails were placed strategically close to the shower and the bath.
